In the past few days, myself and my brother have been getting the few final items sorted for our trip up to the lakes to accompany our Uncle, Jim Launchbury, also known as the High Cheif Ranger this year, on his Coast to Coast cycle challenge. The ride is taking place the 24th - 26th May and will cover 140 miles approximately. 5p Plastic Bag Tax?

The Guardian reported today that in an effort to reduce the 160m plastic bags used in Northern Ireland each year, a 5p plastic bag tax will be imposed throughout NI from 2013, rising to 10p by April 2014.

Should the rest of the UK follow suit?
