Official sponsors of the Archery GB team!

Claire 527 days ago

Foresters are delighted to announce that we are the official sponsors of the Archery GB team. We will be sponsoring the team for the next three years as they prepare to take part in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It’s a great opportunity for us and we think it's a great team-up, given our brand and its historic links to the master archers Robin Hood and Little John!

The partnership launch took place at the end of November on a very frosty morning at the Tower...

Coast to Coast with the HCR

Paul_Sedwards 732 days ago

In the past few days, myself and my brother have been getting the few final items sorted for our trip up to the lakes to accompany our Uncle, Jim Launchbury, also known as the High Cheif Ranger this year, on his Coast to Coast cycle challenge. The ride is taking place the 24th - 26th May and will cover 140 miles approximately. Of those, there will be numerous taxing miles as we tackle some of the climbs the lakes and pennine roads have to offer. I have been making sure I have puncture kits, ...

Beware the gold rush!

ForesterMagazine 796 days ago

Turn on the television during the day and it seems that every other advert at the moment is one bombarding you with appeals to sell your unwanted gold by post. 'Send in your old gold necklace/ ring/ watch fob/ tooth and we'll send you a great big wad of cash back in return', so say companies like Money4Gold, CashMyGold and Postal Gold. But an investigation by Which? Money reveals that these companies are actually offering consumers shockingly bad value, and should be avoided at all cost. ...

Are we too polite to complain?

ForesterMagazine 836 days ago

The majority of Brits would rather lose money than complain, according to research by www.moneysupermarket.com. Almost nine out of ten (88%) British people regularly fail to exercise their consumer right to refunds, good service and discounts on damaged, faulty or unwanted goods, the research says. This results in a potential consumer loss of up to £74 billion across the UK – that's £2,873 per UK household. 89% of consumers say they always pay the price asked without question, even if ...

Tabsman 977 days ago

Hi all Been a busy few weeks at the house. I was up in the loft drilling a hole the other day - very dark, hot and dirty work. Whilst there I was thinking how it was the nearest you could get to mining in this country... It took me an hour and a half and there was still no hole in the brick wall - i blame the hammer drill I was using! I was rousing spirits over the past few weeks with a few state of the nation speaches and wanted to share with you a few comments which had a 'positive' respo...
